AJITESH'S TRANSLATED PLAYS

AJITESH’S NANA RANGER DINSo many directors have translated and directed foreign plays. But Ajitesh Banerjee is one of them , who adopted the plays to touch in indigenous theatre. It was impossible to identify whether it is foreign or indegent play to common audience. They enjoyed very much to see the productions. Such as ‘Tin Paisar Pala’, which is Brecht’s original play ‘Three Penny Opera’. It is the popular production of Nandikar.’In the production and performance of the dramas Nandikar scored another big success.’ 29 June 1960 Nandikar started under leadership of Ajitesh. Its first production was Bidhi –Ibsen’s Ghosts adopted by Ajitesh and Dipen Sengupta.
